On 30 Aug 2024, Chal District of Takhar Province is located at an altitude of approximately 1,282 meters above sea level. Access to the district is extremely difficult due to poorly maintained unpaved roads. Most residents of the area face serious economic challenges. The region is largely arid and suffers from a severe shortage of clean drinking water, forcing residents to travel several kilometers to bring water.

Recently, devastating floods in Burka District of Baghlan Province, as well as Chal and Namak Ab Districts of Takhar Province, claimed the lives of hundreds of people, most of whom were women and children. These floods destroyed homes, livestock, agricultural land, and completely damaged existing water supply systems.

Under the guidance of the GAAC Director (Dr. Med. Reinhard Erös), immediate emergency response measures were launched. These interventions included the drilling of deep wells, installation of water pumps powered by solar (photovoltaic) systems, and the construction of water storage reservoirs. Through this initiative, clean and safe drinking water has been provided to impoverished communities living in remote areas of Chal District.

دا چې د تخار ولایت چال ولسوالي د سمندر له سطحې څخه شاوخوا ۲۸۲،۱ متره لوړوالي کې موقعیت لري. یادې ولسوالي ته تګ راتګ د خام سرک له امله  خورا ستونزمن دی. د دې سیمې ډېری اوسېدونکي د اقتصادي ستونزو سره مخ دي، سیمه يې تر ډېره وچه او د څښاک د پاکو اوبو له کمښت سره مخ ده، چې له امله یې اوسیدونکي د اوبو د راوړلو لپاره څو کیلو متره اوږد مزل کوي.

په دې وروستیو کې، د بغلان ولایت د برکې ولسوالۍ او همدارنګه د تخار ولایت د چال او نمک ‌آب ولسوالیو کې رامنځته شویو ویجاړوونکو سېلابونو د سلګونو کسانو ژوند واخیست، چې ډېری یې ښځې او ماشومان وو. دغو سېلابونو کورونه، څاروي، کرنیزې ځمکې ویجاړې او د اوبو موجوده سیستمونه یې په بشپړه توګه له منځه یوړل.

د جرمني مرستې افغان ماشومانو لپاره ادارې  مشر د(ډاکټر مېډ رېنهاډ ایرُس) په لارښوونه سملاسي بېړني اقدامات پیل کړل. په دې اقداماتو کې د ژورو څاګانو کیندل، د اوبو پمپونو نصب چې د لمریز بریښنا (فتووولټاییک) سیستم له لارې چلېږي، او د اوبو زېرمتونونو جوړول شامل دي. د دې نوښت په موخه د چال ولسوالۍ په لرې پرتو سیمو کې مېشتو بيوزلو خلکو ته پاکې او خوندي د څښاک اوبه برابرې شوي.
